Keeping Christ in Christian Education

It’s not a compromise- it’s a calling. Excellence is an act of worship.

We aren’t just teaching, we’re discipling.

While we want our Coram Deo students to know the Bible, our Christian education is about more than memorizing facts. We want students to know Jesus personally. We want their lives to show that they think from a Christian Worldview, and we want them to examine each subject through the lens of scripture. We are raising up a generation of Christ-following, world-changing disciples- and your child can be one of them.

Chapel

We believe in student-centered worship, and that includes engaging older students in leading parts of chapel for younger students when possible. Our chapel features age-appropriate lessons, as well as visiting speakers from local Bible-believing churches and organizations.

Worldview

We believe in teaching application, not just stories. Our students benefit from a worldview-based Christian program throughout their time at Coram Deo.

Service

We believe faith without works is dead, and offer service opportunities both locally and internationally for all ages to put our faith to work.

Statement of Faith

While our school is not under the authority of a particular local church, it is founded firmly on the Gospel of Jesus Christ. We expect our families to agree with our core General Christian Statement of Faith, and to be reinforcing these beliefs at home. Signing up for a program knowing you are going to undermine the teachings of the school sets teachers and leadership up to fail as you are demonstrating with your actions they are not trustworthy. Please take this statement of faith very seriously, and consider with prayer before signing, whether as a member of staff, faculty, or a joining family.

  1. We believe the Holy Bible in the autographs (original documents) is the inspired, inerrant, authoritative, and infallible Word of God.
    (II Timothy 3:16-17)
  2. We believe there is one true God who exists as three persons, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
    (Exodus 20:2-3, I Corinthians 8:6, Revelation 4:11, I John 5:7)
  3. We believe in the virgin birth, sinless life, atoning death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ, who gave his life as a ransom for all.
    (I Thessalonians 4:13-18, I Corinthians 15:15-58, John 1:1-2, Luke 1:26-38)
  4. We accept the Genesis account of creation and believe that man came by direct creation of God and not by evolution. We believe all people are made Imago Dei and therefore believe in the sanctity of life from conception to natural death.
    (Genesis 1 and 2, Colossians 1:16-17, John 1:3)
  5. We believe that all men have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God and are in need of the salvation available through the atonement of Christ Jesus. We believe that Jesus is the only condition of salvation.
    (Isaiah 53:4-6, John 3:16, Acts 15:11, Acts 16:31)
  6. We believe in the biblical definition of marriage between one man and one woman, and in the biological sex of every human as based on their DNA and design by God.
    (Genesis 2:24, Romans 7:2, I Corinthians 7:10)
